Where do I begin?
This movie is a complete disaster. It’s like Tommy Wiseau decided to make an animated movie and this is what happened! The humor is painfully lame: poop and fart jokes galore. Who thinks that’s funny? Turning adult swear words into “safe” alternatives doesn’t make it clever; it makes it awkward. And the constant, forced references to famous movies and characters?
Oh, and let’s not forget the Gordon Hamsy joke
Another failed attempt at humor that falls flat every single time. why? Just because? The main character, the pig, is horrible to look at. His face is a disturbing mix of human features slapped onto a pig, making him downright ugly and unlikeable. The supporting characters are equally ridiculous: there’s a cat that shoots nukes and an angry koala, as if the writers were pulling random ideas out of a hat.
Weak and pointless
And don’t get me started on the music: it’s atrocious, with ridiculously bad singing that’s almost offensive to listen to. The plot? It feels like a fever dream of bad ideas stitched together without any thought or care. The only remotely tolerable part was the minute of backstory on the pig, but that’s not enough to redeem this piece of garbage. What’s worse is that not only is this a failure for adults, it’s an insult to children. Kids are so much smarter than the people who wrote, directed, or designed this monstrosity.
Kids movies don’t have to be cheap!
This movie is a slap in the face to animation as an art form. I usually go easy on animated movies because I know how much effort goes into them, but damn, this one deserves all the hate it gets. I wish I had listened to the one star reviews. Don’t waste your time or money on this dumpster fire.
