It is usually the landowner’s job to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the companies they represent. In essence, they manage the land and secure the lease so they can drill for oil and gas. Like foremen on a construction site, they build roads, man-camps, assemble excavation machines and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.

A very good start to two episodes! Billy Bob Thorton (Tommy Norris) is great in the lead role. I spotted Jacob Lofland (Cooper Norris) when he was on 'Justified' as a budding person.
Big Green: Good!
But Larter (Angela Norris) as Tommy’s ex-wife and Michelle Randolph (Ainsley Norris), Tommy’s daughter, are insufferable and I’m already hoping very bad things happen to them! The character of Jon Hamm (Monty Miller), who owns the company and is Tommy’s boss, may represent my hopefully unrealized fears for this rising series. In a nutshell, I’m afraid that creator/writer Taylor Sheridan might change the sticker mentality and reduce the series to: Big Oil: Bad!
If that happens, I will change my rating and leave!
