The show moves the setting to the present day

This would have been an exceptional chase if the female lead had been anyone else, literally anyone else. The way she portrays the detective makes the viewer, at least this one, not want to root for her.
She comes off as a conniving, cold, know-it-all, selfish woman
Yes, she’s in the police force, and what she does is good, but how she does it is horrible! I don’t like her and I don’t care for her either. Because of that, I feel like a lot of us who watch the show will root for her.
He’s not a killer, even though he is a killer
The Jackal. I don’t want her to succeed in her mission and I don’t want the Jackal to get caught. I don’t think that’s how it should be, but that’s how I feel.
And I know I’m not the only one
At first glance, she’s getting close to him. Unfortunately, if she succeeds, it’ll make me want to stop watching this show. And that’s too bad, because he’s amazing in it!
